Parmigiani really paid attention to the details when designing the Tonda. That baguette diamond hour markers are small enough to compliment the mostly clean dial. The gold open hands pair well with the case and bracelet. We love pretty much everything about the deep ruby guilloche dial. Running on the newly developed Caliber PF770 movement, the rose gold Tonda PF with deep ruby case fits into a slimmed down 36mm case. While have focused on the stainless steel models, including in our recent review of the Tonda GT Chronograph, the Tonda is also offered in gold. One of our favorite new releases over the past few years is definitely the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF. The 37mm Overseas self-winding in pink gold retails for $52,500 USD. While the smaller Overseas models utilize a quartz movement, we prefer automatic whenever possible. Not only does the watch feature a diamond-adorned bezel, but it has a metallic pink dial with small seconds at 9 and a self-winding caliber 5300 automatic movement. While there are many different Overseas models available for women, we are particular to the larger 37mm Ref. Though the Overseas was first released in 1996, over 20 years after Audemars Piquet released the Royal Oak and Patek Philippe released the Nautilus, the model has come to be considered favorably alongside the two Genta-designed icons. Perhaps no model from Vacheron is more recognizable than the Overseas. Thus, our list of best womens watches would not be complete without a timepiece from the venerable Swiss brand. The “Holy Trinity of of Swiss Watchmaking” included Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and yes, Vacheron Constantin. The small version of the Alhambra watch, featured below. The Alhambra has been most commonly seen on necklaces and bracelets, but we are big fans of the watch as well. First created in 1968, the Alhambra four leaf clover line of jewelry is meant to represent good luck. The Alhambra line of jewelry is one of Van Cleef’s most recognizable and iconic lines. Instead, we decided to feature the Alhambra. The Midnight Planetarium, famously worn by Matt Damon to the 2016 Academy Awards after being nominated for Best Actor for The Martian, is just one example of Van Cleef & Arpels’ watchmaking chops.įor this list, however, we decided against featuring one of Van Cleef’s more complicated, and expensive, models. But the brand has been creating high-end wristwatches, many with complications, for years. Van Cleef & Arpels is most known for its jewelry, especially diamond jewelry. This adds a touch of unique class and elegance in what is unmistakably a women’s watch. The diamonds move around without disturbing any of the functionings of the watch. The Chopard Happy Sport is immediately recognizable by the floating diamonds in the dial.
